Plain English shipping policy - we'll leave legal speak for the experts, and present our honest, no nonsense approach to shipping here!
Stationery products are, for the most part, relatively heavy, and in this post-covid, post-supply chain crisis of '21/'22 that we're living in, heavy = expensive.
We have chosen to ship out of Hong Kong (rather than Australia) because it helps us to minimise our overall shipping costs (though that's relative), given that most of our customers are located outside of Australia.
That said, prices of shipping, particularly relatively heavy items, is still expensive. As such, we've had to change our shipping policy to now only ship orders over AUD$150 free, to select countries. If you're eligible for this, then that's a rate you'll see. Australia, Canada, the USA and most parts of Europe are included in this list - which accounts for most of our regular customers.
Shipping times are best treated as guidelines. There are many complexities that our partners deal with to get product to you in the most cost effective way, and there are sometimes unexpected delays thanks to our shipments being bumped from flights & so on. We're working with a large third party logistics company who give us great assistance, but they're still beholden to the whims of airlines. Maybe one day we'll have PA -Airlines and be able to ferry stickers around the world first class ;)
In the unlikely event that your package looks lost (say, it's not showing on tracking after around 30 business days), please start asking about it via the customer service widget on the website. Bear in mind, however, that we are not shipping huge volumes and do not have some sort of sway with the large companies shipping for us. While we can lodge an enquiry it's usually quicker if you do so direct with the shipping company for your delivery. In most cases, the final mile carrier is your local postal agency (eg Aus Post in Australia, USPS in the USA & so on); and the tracking number we issue will work with their system. I'd encourage you to lodge enquiries with them in the first instance.
Finally, if the worst happens and your goodies do not arrive, or arrive damaged, please let us know. Take photos of the packaging, the items themselves and any other evidence that will help us lodge a claim.
Special notes for customers in the UK!
We know, we know - those shipping rates are high. We're not large enough to pay the accountants fees for your VAT (we'd pay more in accounting fees than the dollar value of orders we sell to the UK per year); but we are also charged VAT by our shipping company on every order that is sent. So, we've used the shipping number to ensure that we're collecting the VAT for your order. Is it ideal? No - but it's the best we can do for now.
Final word on shipping.
Yes, it's expensive. No, we're not making money on it (in fact, in most cases we're under charging what we're charged for shipping to you), and the rates will be dynamic & frequently changing for the foreseeable future. Thanks for your understanding!
