Dear Journal, There’s a kind of energy that comes right before a big adventure—not quite nervous, not quite excited, but something wonderfully in-between. That’s where I am right now. Standing on the edge of something new, suitcase open, maps spread out, heart full. Winter has given me the space to slow down, reflect, recharge. But now? Now I feel that pull again—that quiet hum in my chest that whispers: Go. And I’m listening. This week has been all about preparing. I’ve dusted off my travel journal, started jotting down dream destinations, favourite cafés I want to revisit, and secret corners of the world I’ve only read about in books. My planner is filling with possibilities. My passport is ready. And yes—I may have spent way too much time choosing which pens to pack (essentials!). I laid out my luggage today, each item carefully folded, every pocket filled with intention. A camera, my favourite scarf, postcards to send back home, and the tiniest bottle of perfume that somehow makes every place smell like a memory. I even tucked a few blank postcards into my journal—to fill with thoughts I don’t know I’ll have yet. What comes next? I’m not sure. But I know I’m ready. Winter helped me rediscover my spark. Now it’s time to let that light lead me forward. Here’s to new chapters, distant cities, and postcards from the road. With all my heart, Alex
