It’s been raining for over a week now and while I’ve been watching the people with their umbrellas walking down the streets. I braved the weather and went out for some groceries. Can you believe I forgot my umbrella?! I was standing outside staring at the deluge wondering how I'm going to get to my car and guess who I run into. None other than McCharming. He kindly walked me to my car and I could feel my heart racing. But it’s different today. Now it feels like one of those days where the world outside mirrors the storm that's been brewing inside me for longer than I'd like to admit. The rain has bought with it a deluge of doubt. There has been so much change lately and I've been pushing, transforming, trying to become this person I want to be. But now, the relentless tap against the windowpane echoes my own restlessness. I'm sitting here, in this space I've curated so carefully, only to find it echoing back a solitude I wasn't prepared for. I thought I wanted the quiet, but the silence is louder than I anticipated. It's not just the weather; it's me, feeling stuck, as if the walls of my apartment are a bit too close. All the changes, the constant motion—I've prided myself on moving forward, always forward. But did I mistake motion for progress? This quest for self-sufficiency, for proving I can do it all alone, maybe it was more about proving something to myself than actual growth. Watching the rain, I can't shake the feeling that I've been running from, not towards, something. The independence I sought feels more like isolation now. And here I am, questioning everything. The growth, the transformation... was it all just a facade? Am I really any closer to finding who I am, or have I just been circling around the person I used to be? The rain blurs the world outside, and I can't help but wonder if I've been blurring the lines of my own identity too. Tonight, the rain and I are companions in contemplation, both of us pouring out more than we can hold. I'm not ready to answer these questions, not yet. But acknowledging them? Maybe that's the first step? Alex xoxo ... Remember, it's okay to seek help if you're struggling with your mental health. Your story matters, and you're not alone in this journey.
