Dear Journal, This week, I’ve woven a little more creativity into my daily life. Following last week's pottery class, I found myself the proud creator of an imperfect, yet endearing, clay pot. It's become the centerpiece of my new venture: a small, sunlit gardening nook in my loft. I chose a corner bathed in morning light to set up my gardening space, where I placed the pot. After some delightful contemplation, I decided on daisies for their simple charm and hopeful symbolism. Planting them felt surprisingly therapeutic, each scoop of soil a reminder of life's humble beginnings. As I tucked the seeds into the soil, a playful thought struck me. I found myself gently touching the daisies, whispering, "I love me, I love me not, I love me," mimicking the old game of petal-picking, often linked to youthful daydreams about love. But here, in this moment, each proclamation of "I love me" felt like a reaffirmation of self-love and acceptance, ending emphatically on an "I love me." It was a small, whimsical ritual, but it left a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart. Now, each day begins with me checking on my little daisy plant, watching for the first signs of growth. This simple act of nurturing is more than just care for the plant—it’s a nurturing of my own spirit, a daily reminder of resilience and growth. This tiny garden has become a source of daily joy, blending art, nature, and a dash of self-care. It’s teaching me about patience, the beauty of gradual unfolding, and the joys of tending to life in all its forms. Here’s to growth, both in the garden and within ourselves, and to the affirmations that strengthen us. I’m excited for the blooms that will soon add color to my loft and for the new layers of happiness they will bring to my journey. Catch you later, Alex
