Journal Entry 7: Dear Journal, Last night was like stepping into a time machine. Aimee and I decided to relive our teenage years with a classic slumber party—complete with an old box of mix tapes, which turned our evening into an impromptu karaoke session. Each song was a trip down memory lane, reminding us of concerts we'd attended and the mischief we got up to. We laughed until our sides ached, flipping through photos that captured our most embarrassing fashion phases. It’s funny how some things feel like they happened just yesterday. Sharing those moments, it felt like no time had passed at all. Carrying that high spirit into today, we dusted off our old roller skates and hit the rink. It was all fun and games until I spectacularly lost my balance and ended up colliding with some (gorgeous looking) guy. Instead of the awkwardness I expected, we shared a clumsy laugh that felt straight out of a movie scene. It was just a brief encounter, but it was the perfect end to our nostalgic escapade. This weekend was a heartwarming reminder of the joys that old friendships hold. They’re the kind of relationships that pick up right where you left off, no matter how much time has passed. Here’s to the songs that still make us dance, the memories that keep us young, and the new ones still to come. Catch you later, Alexxoxo
